Persistence – Don’t rush it…

I have been working for hours on end trying to become familiar with all this new technology mumbo-jumbo for the new blog site and let me tell you this, patience is more than a vertue when it comes to me and technology – we just barely coexist nicely. I refuse to give up. It’s just not in me to go down without a long hard – and usually teary – fight whether it is with food, relationships, technology (I can barely work a cellphone) or life. Today, however, was a little bit of a harder fight than usual.

Right now it seems that my life is at a hard standstill. I know what is supposed to be will be in my heart, but my head would really like to get the ball moving or see some steps being taken. My whole life is in limbo at the moment. For instance, the Z man and I are currently living with his parents while we save money and search for our own place, and I am helping at the University temporarily until I find something else or they hire me on full-time. We really don’t want to decide on a place to live until I find out about a job and I won’t find out about a job until they do some other hires before me. And I’m waiting to hear back about a different job I applied for before I do anything further with the University. I feel like it’s almost as if I’m ready to move on from a bad relationship, but can’t because we share a car. So until I either get a new car or he decides to give it to me, I’m kind of stuck in the bad relationship.

On a positive note, like I said I won’t go down without a fight. I’m persistent. I’ve been searching for jobs in every field out there while I wait to hear back from the ones I’ve applied for – I still am not sure what it is I want to do – and I can’t tell you how many apartments and homes I’ve looked at trying to find something perfect for the Train, Simpson, Gelato and me. It’s out there and I will find it.

I’m also a firm believer that if you put energy out into the universe, the universe will give energy back to you. If you want love and happiness, put love and happiness out. If I want that job, I need to put belief in myself and of me getting it out into the universe (I always feel a sort of glow in my heart when I practice putting good energy out).

Persistence is key and it can not be rushed. It will happen when it is supposed to happen. I know I’ll get a job that I will love and I know the Train and I will find a home, I need to be patient, let the stars aline so the universe can work its magic. Until then, I’ll keep plugging away at the blog widget and menus, looking for my future career, and waiting for that perfect place to our crazy little family to call home.

Oh, and while I’m waiting, I’ll keep making smoothie recipes for you guys like this one that is a spin-off from the Green Goddess Dressing.

Green Goddess Smoothie

1 – 1 1/2 c almond milk

1 large banana – frozen

1/2 an avocado (this is where the Green Goddess comes in to play)

1/2 bunch of kale

1 handful of spinach

1 scoop of Lifewise Life’s Basic Vanilla Chai plant protein powder

Put all the ingredients into a blender and place on high until well combined and enjoy! This one is nice a thick and super creamy, you could drink it or eat it with a spoon. Either it way, it’s crazy good regardless of how it goes down.

I think while I wait for the universe to do it’s thing I’ll try making a Carrot Cake Smoothie and a raw vegan soup – don’t forget about February-In-The-Raw!
